For Self Or Cultivate Self?

‘(If) one does not cultivate (or conduct) oneself (virtuously), heaven and earth (i.e. nature) will (karmically) “punish” and destroy (one).’ This is an often misunderstood and misused expression. Actually, if ‘everyone is for oneself (only, truly then) will heaven and earth “punish” and destroy (all swiftly due to everyone’s self-centredness, that destroys one another)!
