Incenseless Incense

Er… Technically, this becomes offering of just a little light only; with no actual offering of incense! The basic significance of offering light is to remind us to ignite the light of wisdom within to dispel the darkness of ignorance. Incense offering is to remind us to spread the fragrance of virtue in all directions to benefit all beings, even going against the wind. Nope, the Buddha don’t really need these offerings, while we make these offerings sincerely to remind us of the Dharma as above, which also creates some merits.
