Pain & Pleasure

PAIN: Paradoxically, although an ulcer on a lip made it more painful to eat, it made me more careful when eating, thus more mindful of that eaten, which made it ‘more’ pleasurable. The challenge is to remain mindful of the taste when without any pain, even if the eaten is not tasty, and to be mindful of the pain itself without fretting it.
