NY Adventure 36:
Other Sunflower
The ‘other’ sunflower painting by Van Gogh at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art. Not the famous one with many thriving in a vase, but a couple of withering ones, which is kind of the opposite. Truly intense and three-dimensional when seen up close. This should be just as renowned, as a powerful reminder of the transience of life. In fact, Buddhists are supposed to offer flowers with the truth of impermanence in mind, so as to cherish every moment to live it well.
