Me: You’ll find me weird… only if you don’t understand me.
He: But what if you still seem weird after I try to understand you?
Me: Well, like I said, ‘You’ll find me weird… only if you don’t understand me.’
He: As in… don’t really understand you fully yet?
Me: Yup. Food for thought… The Buddha won’t find anyone weird… because he understands all – even the severely deluded. Understanding is an attribute of enlightenment; the end of delusion, including about those deluded. That’s to say, he understands why the deluded are so, and how they can end their delusion.
He: But what if someone finds the Buddha weird?
Me: It’s still along the same line – You’ll find the Buddha weird… only if you don’t understand the Buddha. It also means you don’t understand yourself, because your true nature is the same as the Buddha, in terms of Buddha-nature.
He: Do you find me weird?
Me: I think it’s more important to ask if I find myself weird! What would be weird is if I don’t understand myself well, while I don’t find this weird!
same as with my source of irritation…what i find irrtating..i do not understand…I am responsiblie for understanding why i feel like this or that! amitabha!
