Tit: I heard of a monk who had been using a set of prayer beads for a long time.
Tat: Ya… What happened next?
Tit: A devotee told him he shouldn’t be attached to them, and asked for it.
Tat: Ok… What happened next?
Tit: The monk gave it to him.
Tat: Er… What happened next?
Tit: The devotee now wears it every day!
Tat: At least, the monk was using it, while the devotee was just wearing it!

But the devotee might be using it when he’s doing his prayer. The monk is also only wearing it when he’s not chanting. 😉
Haha good point. Maybe the monk and devotee should just switch their beads to exercise non-attachment, while still having beads to use. Amituofo
