Goodwill to Humans, Ill Will to Animals?

Something I would never say in person, but echoes in my mind,
when I see people offering animal products for consumption:

Your good will in sharing animal stuff for food
might be appreciated by living humans,
but surely not, by the dead animals.

What if they are so ‘well’ received
that the living humans crave for more,
and remember to get more (killed)?

  1. I saw one organisation doing this, they care about the less fortunate and wanting them to have a good party by getting lots of meat …

The irony is, the less fortunate could not finish all the meat dishes due to no teeth to bite and half-eaten and went to the trash bin …

In caring for the less fortunate, forgotten that the less fortunate is sentient beings, so is the meat(animals when alive) is also sentient beings and also belong to the less fortunate group …

I feedback and glad that they replied and said that they will try to do better.

  2. I did have this type of conversation with someone – requesting a meat-eater to go for vegetarian food when treating other to meal.

She immediately point out her friends or colleagues would not accept it, it is not workable, blab, blab and blab … So, I zip my mouth.

Half a year later, in one of the conversation, she mentioned she felt so happy as she treated a group of 10 persons to a vegetarian restaurant for a meal sampling delicious plant-based food and enjoyed the food.

I told her – she feels happy and good not because the food is real delicious, because that meals does not involve any lives (no meat at all) – no killing.

With lots of vegetarian eateries churning out delicious veg*n food, we are not left with no choice at all.

I am happy to see such positive changes and hope that my other friends could also be like her (still a meat-eater).

Everyone of us has a BUDDHA NATURE in us … just that this seed need some watering to grow (L)

  3. Thanks, nothing compare to yours. (Y)

For your moonpointer blog in sharing Dharma etc needs lots of diligent, heart and soul and a compassionate heart, this is not easy at all. (L)

Me, just sharing a little what I encountered personally. I find that these people in the real world really give me hope, some new perspectives… and by sharing maybe others could extract more from it than me …

I believe many out there have good experiences but maybe be too shy to share …
