It was hard explaining to Mum why I wear my clothes
till they become holey, when I can afford new ones,
as I ask her to help me patch them,
so that I can continue wearing them
till they are too worn from wear and tear.
Then I chanced upon stories of monks of old,
who wear old and repatched robes.
Suddenly, I’m sure I’m not alone or a miser,
that for this thrifty habit of mine, of treasuring what I have,
I’m in good company.
You can start repatch fashion. Or old clothes fashion. Ppl wil ljust go into anything fashionable as long as they are “in fashion”
kudos to you shi’an! it’s not what’s outside that matters!
I gave away alot of my ‘junk’ I bought and I felt really silly and wasteful! now i think twice (thrice!) before i buy something! if everyone recycle and reuse, there’ll be less waste and mother earth will be happy!
Haha this is already my weak attempt to restart repatch fashion. Yes, reduce (buying), reuse (the bought) before recycling!
