Question: Do you know what has happened to Shakyamuni Buddha’s clan descendants?
Answer: I don’t know… But there are some people in Nepal and India today who claim to be descendants. So far, it seems that there are no very prominent ones that we hear of. Anyway, a descendant of a great person is not always great. Which brings to mind, if we believe in the Adam and Eve story (which Buddhists do not), they were supposed to be ‘created’ perfect, in the ‘perfect’ creator’s (who does not really exist) image, and we are supposed to be their descendants – but look at us now haha… We’re a mess! (This is a simple proof that there is no perfect creator god).

Today there were some Christians who visited us and inform us that God love us all. They said about the Tsunami in Japan and that God love us all and there will be the 2nd? coming… or smth like that. I wanted to ask, then why did God give us Tsunami when he loves us? But I just wanted the conversation to end so I didn’t ask. They will probably visit us again so maybe next time.
I suggest you talk to your MP about such evangelising activities. If god does love, this world would have no war, no diseases or natural disasters. It’s obviously not the case. It’s time they wake up to such ridiculous idea and spare us the god works in a mysterious way. :oo:
Tic: I have a great news to share w you
Tat: Gee. That’s great! Come tell me about it
Toe: Wait! Before you tell us the good news let’s hear the bad news first
Tic: There’s no bad news
Toe: Really?
Tic: After sharing the good news but if you dun bite, it maybe a piece of bad news to you
Tat: In that case I rather not listen to it. You mean if I dun buy your solution, it will actually become a problem as a result of my choice
Tic: Yah but you have time to think about it
Toe: I am really amazed as to how a so called perfect solution of yours can suddenly turn 180 degrees from love to hatred.Â
Tat: So if I know nothing about it, it can actually turn out to be a perfect solution.
Tic: In a way yes
Toe: Spare us and spare all.Â
While love can be great but it can be blind. Compassion coupled with wisdom is therefore greater.
One who truly loves will love even rejections for to love rejection and yet silently working behind the scenes to liberate all beings without credit or to be reciprocated like the Buddha is true love.
If god can really die. The entire universe would die with him the instant that he died.Â
There is no deaths in this world that is not great regardless of your status. The lives of all mother sentient beings who died hundred of times to feed and clothe us is greatest. If ever I were to measure the worthiness of a death. Providence ranks last simply becos he can never really die. Â Â
Reminds me of this from http://moonpointer.com/index.php?itemid=1898 :
Somewhere, and I can’t find where,
I read about an Eskimo hunter who asked the local missionary priest,
“If I didn’t know about God and sin, would I go to hell?â€
“No,†said the priest, “not if you did not know.â€
“Then why,†asked the Eskimo earnestly, “did you tell me?â€

Haha, in that case, the Christians should be COMPASSIONATE enough not to spread their teachings. 😆
Tic: I have just found the number 1 formula to growing any belief.
Tac: Gee that’s great! How do you do that?
Tic: Start with a new belief. Go to your nearest video rental shop and borrow the video entitled the “Ring”. Watch the video. Look at the plot of the show. When you start seeing fear entering your life, pass the same video to the next person and remember to get the next person to pass on the same video as well. This cycle should keep repeating itself till exhausted.
Tac: Why do I want to circulate “Fear”. Who would bite?
Tic: Ah. I forgot one important element. Package it. Â Â
Why is “Fear” an effective formula? Fear unites humanity. Fear draws people together and cause them to flock together for comfort. It’s is also a great consolation to find people of the same fear so that you know that you are not alone. If u r really alone with your fear, getting new entrants to face the same fear with you gives you strength and courage.
When u r in it together. U can face it together.
