Time to Go

A Tit for a Tat (296)

Tat: They accepted your resignation just like that?
Tit: It’s okay as they don’t know what they are losing.
Tat: If not, they would have persuaded you to stay?
Tit: Since this is not so, it’s really okay to leave. What matters is that I know what I’m losing, and what I have to gain by leaving.

  1. Pure intentions would mean less greed for one self, less hatred for others, and less ignorance for one self and others. And since we can’t have perfect pure intentions before Buddhahood, to lessen our 3 poisons are the way to go. 🙂

  2. Certainly felt that way when I handed in my resignation letter that year. While many were shocked/surprised by my decision, I was surprised by my own mixed reactions when I couldn’t find my name-assigned pigeon hole when there were still some more weeks to go.

“What matters is that I know what I’m losing, and what I have to gain by leaving.”

Yah, I only lost but a “hole”,
    but I gained a sky beyond ;p
