Super Short Story (242): Fireworks
Every year, when he sees pollutive national celebratory fireworks,
he can’t help thinking the millions of dollars spent on them
to bring but fleeting delight
could be channeled to better usage –
to help the needy.
How about setting aside what the ‘Non-Fireworks Fund’ –
the alternative to taxpayers’ monies going up in smoke?
