She wanted nothing to do with it,
but the wanting nothing
is still wanting something.
What she need is to make peace,
not to think she is already at peace.

She can’t be at peace if she’s not doing something that she should. Unless she has low empathy threshold or a really cold heart. Such is a typical bystander syndrome, sad.
