Super Short Story (262): Fall (1)
He reckoned that
if he never falls in love,
he will never fall out of love.He didn’t realise that
there was another way of loving –
without falling in or out.
It is possible
to be on a tight rope of just caring
without tilting to attachment or detachment.

Most people do not think man and woman can have platonic friendship, unless one of them is gay. Even those who are married should be careful when the person they ‘care’ or liaise too much with is not their spouse. You might not have the intention but others might read it wrongly. It’s a delicate balance on the ‘rope’.
How do people fall in love? Or should it be why do people fall in love? The idea that falling in love means to ‘own’ is ridiculous. I think love gets complicated when it is followed by sex. And most of the time, people fall in love with an idea rather than the person per se.
