Super Short Story (261): Make-up
Her unnaturally thick make-up,
was most unnerving,
as it made onlookers wonder
how negatively different
she might look without any of it.
Another’s almost non-existent make-up
was an understatement instead,
as it made onlookers wonder
how positively different
she might look with more of it.
Make-up, is to either to hide or flaunt.
Either way it’s not true to oneself.
It won’t rid the greed, hatred or ignorance.
Neither would it flaunt one’s generosity, loving-kindness or wisdom.
If you really need to hide or flaunt,
Best to do so without suffering of poor animals.
Go for non-animal-testing and vegan ingredients.
Choose compassion.
