Expectations: Wandering Thought #32

Wandering Thought #32: Expectations

We tend to idealise others with our expectations, of what they should and should not do. Yet, they have no obligations to meet any of them at all. We should have ever greater expectations of ourselves instead, of what we should and should not do. This is the path of self-improvement, to become the ideal persons we wish to meet. Hopefully, we can inspire some along the way. Have no expectations though!

  1. Having expectations often lead to disappointment when they are not met. However, we should still have dreams / 目标 in life. Just that we have to learn that sometimes, things don’t go according as planned & to learn to ‘deal with it’.
