Wandering Thought #126: Smile

The tiny width of even a subtle but sincere smile is the shortest distance between our hearts, even if we are physically far apart, even if we are communicating by video with miles away from each other. (Think gazing upon the Buddha’s beckoning smile too.) If we do not even make this little effort to bridge the gap between with a smile, how do we go the distance in kinship, friendship and love in more ‘strenuous’ ways? As long as alive, time and space does not have to do people apart. It is forgetting the worth of closing the gap that does.
