From the movie ‘This Is Where I Leave You’…
Judd: I’ve never taken chances. I’ve spent my entire life playing it safe just to avoid being exactly where I am right now.
Penny: Well, you know where you are right now? Right now you’re [lying] in a cool rink on a hot day listening to a Cyndi Lauper classic under some disco lights. Cut yourself some slack, Judd. Anything can happen. Anything happens all the time. [‘Time After Time’ is playing, with these three words in the chorus repeating four times.]
Comments: Judd was lamenting of how he lived life kind of by the book and rules, without being adventurous. Yet, he ended up with a failing marriage and career. Even with the intention of having only order, chaos might reign, due to fruition of negative karma (which is by the rules of nature). Life brings us to the unexpected at times, the good, bad and neutral. This itself is the adventure to embrace, to make the best of – time after time, till we master it for all time.
