Mixed Feelings: Super Short Story #595

Looking through her drawer of knick-knacks,
she discovered a treasure trove of forgotten fickle loves,
a record of the once beloved that were shelved.

Mixed feelings were stirred. 
There was a sense of joy for reunion,
with a sense of sorrow for having once departed.

Then she reluctantly yet forcibly closed the drawer,
not knowing that in a few years time,
she will relive the cycle of emotions upon opening it again. 

It was just another re-opening and re-closing
without truly opening up,
without true closure.
