A Buddhist friend (Er… who could be reading this… but here it goes…) posted a photo of a grilled animal (as in ‘cooked’; not ‘fenced’ and awaiting slaughter) on Facebook. I assume it was to share how good or delicious it looked? Am not sure what exact kinds of reactions were hoped for.
I wanted to add some comments, but decided not to in case it seemed intrusive, rude or sarcastic. So… I’m posting my comments here instead. This was what I wanted to say, with all sincerity – ‘Looks “nice”, but I think the animal looks better when alive, free and happy.’ (Please don’t take offense. Just some sincere food for thought.) May all beings be well, free and happy.
