His talent scout thus proposes adding a shower cubicle to the stage – with comedic effect of course, with which his bathroom-singing vocals returned.
While wondering what was the point of this story by Woody Allen, it struck me that it was a case of someone who tried to step out of his comfort zone to perform, but failed to, who nevertheless was able to compromise by bringing his comfort zone out! It’s ingenious yet pathetic because it’s a mix of being creative while being rigid! It’s the use of skillful means yet not really!
