Criticism: Wandering Thought #206

Wandering Thought #206: Criticism

The foolish position themselves to be beyond any criticism – not because they are near perfect and beyond reproach, but because of pride and fear of being corrected. The wise position themselves to be open to criticism – not because they are far from perfect and very blameworthy, but because of humility and courage to be corrected. Even so-called ‘destructive’ criticism can be reflected upon to become constructive. Unless we are already our own perfect critics, we can always do with more criticism from others for perfecting ourselves.
