Stonepeace (201-210)

[201] One who truly treasures life,
treasures not just one’s own,
but every single life.

[202] How big the contrast,
just around the corner –
how bright!

[203] The greatest mistake
is to believe you never
make any mistake.

[204] Beasts fight for their physical lives.
Humans strive for their spiritual lives.
Some beasts have more spiritual lives
than some humans though.

[205] The conscionable will never
pay anyone else to do
what they will not do personally.

[206] Melancholy is the romanticism of sadness,
a disease of worldly poets and such,
which binds them to Samsara.

[207 ] With so much misery already,
there is no need to wallow in further.
With so much misery already,
there is need to wade out now.

[208] Some think too much, while doing too little.
Some think too little, before doing too much.
Some think enough, while doing enough too.

[209] What really matters is
what you do right now.

[210] Although life continues in this moment,
it can discontinue in the next too.
As such, it is just as important to learn to die well,
as it is to live well.
