Stonepeace (211-220)

[211] Those without belief in karma
might become relentless in doing evil.
Even when they karmically suffer from their evil,
they might believe there is injustice instead,
and retaliate with more evil.
This is how they surely descend into the hells.

[212] If you have to apologise repeatedly
over the same issue,
you were not apologetic even once.

If you have to forgive repeatedly
over the same issue,
you did not forgive even once.

[213] Rebirth in Samsara is from
not having learnt well enough
in the previous life.
Yet, it does not guarantee that
we will learn better in this present life.
The onus is on us to do our best to break free of rebirth.

[214] All the ‘gratefulness’ you have for the animals
killed for you does them absolutely no good,
while excusing yourself for continually eating them.

[215] To limit possibilities is to imprison.

[216] Who is more cruel,
those paid to kill or
those paying them
by buying the killed?

[217] Humankind can be
especially kind to other kinds,
and especially unkind too.
Be the more humane kind.

[218] Keeping your peace of mind is
your most basic responsibility.

Helping others to gain theirs is
your most noble responsibility.

[219] When all existing means tried
do not seem to work,
it is a good time to
deconstruct to reconstruct.

[220] Whether a challenge is
a stepping stone or
a stumbling block
depends on your perception.
