There seems to be rather widespread misconception that vegetarian and vegan foods are not different. Here is a Duke Bakery example. Do educate as many as you can. It’s a matter of life or death for many animals!
‘For Duke Bakery (Singapore) and customers… Vegan foods are that not derived from any animal by-products, not just meat. There is thus mislabelling of your Salty Butter Bun & Honey And Walnut breads as vegan in at least the Toa Payoh and City Link branch.
Honey is not vegan due to this: http://www.vegetus.org/honey/honey.htm Many bees die in the process of getting their honey robbed from them.
Butter is not vegan due to this: http://vegetarian.about.com/od/vegetarianfaqs/fl/Is-butter-vegan.htm Many factory farm cows are forcibly impregnated to lactate, to give milk. When deemed unproductive, they are prematurely killed to be beef and leather. Male calves born are also swiftly killed for veal and leather as they cannot produce milk.’
