[2] Ten Analects’ Sections
[The following are in no particular order.]
[11]
子曰：
「君子求诸己，
小人求诸人。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第二十一章》
The Master said,
‘Noble persons demand all from themselves,
while small persons demand from all people.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 21st Section)

子贡问曰：
「有一言而可以终身行之者乎？」
子曰：
「其恕乎！
己所不欲，勿施于人。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第二十四章》
Zigòng asked, saying,
‘Is there one word, thus able to be with it for lifelong practice?’
The Master said,
‘It is reciprocity.
That which oneself does not desire, do not do to people.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 24th Section)

子曰：
「巧言乱德，
小不忍则乱大谋。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第二十七章》
The Master said,
‘Pleasant but false speech destroys virtue.
With small matters not patient then destroys great plans.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 27th Section)

子曰：
「人能弘道，
非道弘人。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第二十九章》
The Master said,
‘It is people who are able to make great the path,
not the path that makes great people.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 29th Section)

子曰：
「过而不改，
是谓过矣。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第三十章》
The Master said,
‘To make a mistake, yet not correcting it,
this is called a mistake.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 30th Section)

子曰：
「吾尝终日不食，终夜不寝，
以思，无益，
不如学也。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第三十一章》
The Master said,
‘I once, all day did not eat, and all night did not sleep,
with thinking, without benefits,
this is not as good as learning.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 31st Section)

子曰：
「君子谋道不谋食。
耕也，馁在其中矣；
学也，禄在其中矣。
君子忧道不忧贫。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第三十二章》
The Master said,
‘Noble persons strive for the path, and do not strive for food.
Those farming too, have those hungry within.
Those learning too, have those salaried within.
Noble persons worry about the path, and do not worry about poverty.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 32nd Section)

子曰：
「当仁不让于师。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第三十六章》
The Master said,
‘When you should be benevolent, do not yield to teachers.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 36th Section)

子曰：
「道不同，
不相为谋。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第四十章》
The Master said,
‘With paths not the same,
not with one another for planning.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 40th Section)

子曰：
「辞达而已矣。」
《论语•卫灵公第十五•第四十一章》
The Master said,
‘With words clear,
that is all needed.’
(Analects: 15th Chapter: Wèilínggōng: 41st Section)
