Time That Didn’t Flow

To her own surprise,
a friend who broke up with someone about eight years ago
felt that it was only two to three years ago.

She realised that time didn’t really flow on at its normal speed
because she blocked out the break-up experience,
and did not really accept it until recently.

She had buried herself in office and volunteer work,
thinking she was practising non-self,
when it was really denial of her self without realisation of it.

May she be well and happy
now and always till Buddhahood is realised.

  1. She is doing the right thing to keep herself busy.
She is walking the right path by doing volunteer works.

Whether the time is flowing in normal speed or otherwise, it’s not so important…

It’s the will to carry on living independently and the use of whatever remaining time to the best of our capabilities that really matters.

May she be well and happy always ! (F)

  2. Time didn’t flow normally because she didn’t really let go, which means there was attachment to the past. Time heals… but if time doesn’t flow with letting go, time doesn’t really heals. Keeping busy was to suppress the attachment only. But she should had realised this by now. May all be well!

Time… is a measurement of change.
