Like Night And Day

‘Zai jian’ (再见)…
This is no farewell
but a resolution, a hope to ‘meet again’.

Maybe the Chinese got it right long ago,
that there is no real farewell,
that karmic affinities go on and on, as they transform.

Even if in terms of ‘hi’s and bye’s’,
like how night and day
continually gather and depart within moments.
