Snakey Stuff

Not that I believe
in God, Eden or the Devil,
but…

If good St. Patrick could drive
all the snakes from Ireland,
as according to legend,

why did almighty God not drive
one serpent from Eden,
as according to the Bible?

Why would a perfectly good, wise and powerful creator God
allow a perfectly treacherous tempter to exist
in an otherwise perfect world?

  1. You mean it’s wise to create a paradise with evil within? If that’s perfection I guess I prefer my own limited version of perfection that embraces all good and no evil.

  2. Before Adam and eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they were innocent. Since they were innocent. How then would they know that disobedience is evil and much more that the snake is evil? Wisdom can only be born out of knowledge. Wisdom can only be shown when one is able to differentiate between good and evil. If before the apple ate, Adam and eve were innocently ignorant of all good and evil, how then does wisdom grow? I do not have faith in an individual who can’t even make a right decision on whether to eat the apple or not and much less to even dispute if they were wise and intelligent to begin with.

Intelligent design by a creator does not exists simply becos Adam and eve were not even INTELLIGENT to begin with. The greatest irony is when the almighty decides to burn the rest of his creation and the devil becos they are not in his league and that he will make them as good as new again, will he keep another snake in his garden as a yardstick to the wisdom he spoke of or that he decided he started on the wrong foot all along. Some people said that the serpent was the devil. If then, why burn the devil anyway?

Once again we have proved that the almighty is a victim of his pride. He keeps telling his creation that they are intelligently design and not stupid design simply becos if they were not, it would reflect the same on him. How ironic. But as a designer myself, I tell people the same thing too.
