Question: Can I have your permission to forward your course notes to share with a friend?
Answer: Sometimes, I’m afraid that those who don’t come to class imagine how the class is like just by looking at the notes, and decide the class is not interesting,
and never come to class to have the full learning experience. As you know, the the actual class is more than just the notes. How the lesson is delivered beyond the text is important too. And there are many interesting snippets shared, which are not reflected in the notes. This is why attending a course live is valuable.
There can be clarification of doubts in person too. If you think the notes will encourage him to come in future, after explaining this, it should be okay to share a little of them. If otherwise, it might actually be better to keep him in suspense, to look forward to the next round of the course (unless he really has no time to join in) – after you describe to him how the course is worth his time.
