She wondered what’s the point of paying his continual ransoms without guarantee that this is the last time. Yet, not paying it this time, he is bound to continue his ransoms, just as expectedly, endlessly.

She decided to be uncontactable, while looking for something to ransom him in return, in the hope that their odds will be evened out. But there is risk that he’ll find another thing of hers to ransom over. She could only hope that he’ll be tired of the ‘game’… before she does.
