There is false pride and there is true pride. False pride arises from attachment to the ego, that makes no apologies when wrong, which fosters arrogance, delusion and all other defilements. It is the source of everything wrong in our lives. True pride is healthy dignity, that arises from honourable alignment to selflessness and truthfulness, which subdues false pride by fostering humility, wisdom and all other virtues. Do be mindful not to take pride in the wrong pride!
