What Not To Expect

To be unpleasantly disappointed, always expect help from others. (Not that you will never get ever help, but if you keep expecting help, actual help received is likely to be less frequent than hoped for.) Thus, to be pleasantly surprised by actual help received, never expect help from others. In the mean time, do pleasantly surprise others by offering help, even if not expected by them. However, to never be disappointed, never expect gratitude. Thus, if there is gratitude, you will be pleasantly surprised!
