False Afflictions

As afflictions (烦恼) from (physical) pain (痛) and (mental) suffering (苦) arise from the three poisons (三毒) of transient greed (贪), hatred (嗔) and delusion (痴), they are ultimately ‘unreal’ (or empty), being impermanent (无常) and unsubstantial (无我). Not realising this ultimate truth yet, we still have to deal with them with relative truths.

(Catchy, these long book titles, though yet to read their contents. The longest title i came up with is ‘The Amazing & Amusing Adventures Of #SamAndSara: The Zen Of All Kinds Of Stuff’.)
