Our Job

Thoughts from ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee (as adapted and illustrated by Fred Fordham):

As we are all dying, why waste a single moment’s thought, by being angry at another? Being trapped in this dying state is already a physical sickness. Being angry is to add another more ill to it – a mental sickness. No need to hold your head up high when insulted. Just be as your supposed to be – calm; not angry, clear-minded; not flustered. Our job is to not let others anger us, even if others see it as their ‘job’ to do so.
