Further Reflections
13:
This life is but time
‘borrowed’ from death.
14:
If you treasure your life,
waste not even a second
on that pointless.
15:
Transform grief for that lost
to rejoice for that left.
16:
The more the joy
for the fleeting,
the less the bliss
of the lasting.
17:
Transform mundane worldly desires
to noble world-transcending aspirations.
18:
The purest ‘entertainment’
is in the bliss
of Dharma learning and practice.
19:
Before physical death,
may there be spiritual life.
20:
To focus your life,
defocus on what does not matter.
21:
What consumes your time
consumes your life,
including unwise emotions.
22:
The unwise cling
to otherwise momentary anger
to continue punishing themselves with rage.
23:
If you do not say no
to what does not really matter,
can you say yes
to what really does matter?
