Do The Work (Jan 17)

Further Reflections

96:

Even if we practise well
a little of the Dharma,
our lives will be better –
much more if we practise
more of the Dharma well.

97:

If our Dharma-learning
is not for serious practice,
what is it for – ‘entertainment’?

To truly enjoy the Dharma,
it has to be practised well.

98:

Learn the Dharma wholeheartedly.
Practise the Dharma wholeheartedly.
Share the Dharma wholeheartedly.

99:

If you fear you might fail
in serious Dharma practice,
you have already failed
before you start.

100:

It is exactly because
we did not adequately exert ourselves
in Dharma learning and practice
in our past lives,
that we are still unenlightened
in this life.

101:

We already have the best teacher –
the Buddha,
and the best teachings –
the Dharma.
All we need now,
is to learn and practise well.
