Shift Your Caution (Jan 11)

Further Reflections

61:

To avoid needless suffering,
never focus on what you cannot control.

62:

Those who have much suffering,
cling to much they cannot control.

63:

If you want your peace of mind
to be held ransom,
take refuge in what you cannot control.

64:

True peace is still present
in the midst of chaos,
but it is the hardest to find there.

65:

When you cannot avoid external distractions,
take refuge in your inner Buddha-nature
(with mindfulness of Buddha) to ground yourself.

66:

Problems will never be solved
if you cling to factors you cannot change,
instead of changing those you can change.
